Lazy eye or amblyopia is the partial loss of vision in one of the eyes…

A case study published in the Journal of Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology by the prestigious Prieto-Díaz Ophthalmological Institute in Argentina in March 2026
Dr Fernando M. Prieto himself presents the case:
CLINICAL CASE: Dr Dora Fernández-Agrafojo, from Barcelona, Spain, shares her experience of the clinical and surgical management of a patient with esotropia and divergent insufficiency. Reading the case highlights the precision of the methods used to study strabismus and the implementation of various—if not all—therapeutic options in resolving the case: refractive, orthoptic, surgical and botulinum toxin. It also reminds us of the steps that must be followed to arrive at a diagnosis and a correct measurement of strabismus, resolving refractive issues first.
