Eye health doesn’t give you any warning: get checked in good time

Glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy all have something in common: they can progress for years without you noticing, and by the time the first symptoms appear, some of the damage is already irreversible. The good news is that most of these conditions can be detected early with a simple eye test.

At INOF, we carry out a comprehensive eye examination that goes far beyond simply ‘checking your eyesight’: we measure visual acuity and intraocular pressure, and examine the fundus and anterior segment. Where necessary, we supplement the examination with OCT, computerised visual field testing and state-of-the-art retinography.

How often should you have a check-up? From the age of 40, a regular check-up is recommended; sooner if you have a family history of glaucoma, severe short-sightedness, diabetes, or if you spend many hours in front of screens.

A check-up today can prevent a problem tomorrow. Your eyesight is well worth it.
